Saweetie And Quavo’s Bentley Repo Drama Revisited

Saweetie is wondering why her former relationship with Quavo is still making headlines five years after their breakup, especially when it comes to the customized Bentley that became one of hip hop’s most talked-about breakup gifts.

According to TMZ, the “Icy Grl” rapper was approached at Los Angeles International Airport and asked about Quavo recently revisiting the infamous Bentley controversy. Rather than reigniting the drama, Saweetie questioned why the situation was still being discussed and expressed happiness that her ex had found God.

Her response follows Quavo’s recent explanation that divine guidance influenced his decision to reclaim the luxury vehicle after their relationship ended.

During a conversation with Yung Miami, Quavo addressed the Bentley situation and suggested that taking the car back was something he felt spiritually led to do.

But the story surrounding Saweetie’s Bentley goes much deeper than a viral breakup rumor.

The luxury vehicle first entered the picture in December 2020, when Quavo surprised Saweetie with a customized, ice blue Bentley Continental GT convertible for Christmas.

The expensive gift featured snowflake decorations along the exterior and personalized “Icy Girl” embroidery on the headrests, reflecting Saweetie’s signature brand.

The rapper shared her excitement on Instagram Live as she received the surprise from her then-boyfriend. At the time, the vehicle represented another lavish moment in a relationship that regularly attracted attention for expensive gifts and public displays of affection.

However, the celebration did not last.

In March 2021, Saweetie publicly confirmed that she and Quavo had ended their relationship after dating since 2018.

Saweetie announced that she was single and described experiencing betrayal and emotional hurt during the relationship.

She also made it clear that expensive presents could not repair the damage she believed had been done.

Quavo publicly disputed her characterization of their relationship, but the breakup quickly became a trending topic.

Shortly afterward, rumors began circulating that Quavo had arranged to have the Bentley repossessed.

The allegation sparked widespread reactions, with social media users debating whether an expensive gift should ever be taken back after a relationship ends.

However, the original repossession story was not confirmed at the time.

Sources connected to Quavo denied that he had reclaimed the car. The controversy resurfaced that June when Migos released their album “Culture III.”

On the Drake-assisted song “Having Our Way,” Quavo appeared to reference the situation, rapping, “She had it her way, now she out of a Bentley.”

The lyric fueled speculation that Quavo had taken back the vehicle, although he did not mention Saweetie by name.

Saweetie eventually addressed the situation herself during a 2022 appearance on Yung Miami’s “Caresha Please.

When asked how she felt about Quavo taking back the vehicle, Saweetie laughed and explained that she had purchased a Rolls-Royce for herself. She also acknowledged that the breakup had been emotionally difficult because she once believed the two would spend their lives together.

The Bentley story took another unexpected turn in December 2025 when Drake revealed that he had purchased the same luxury vehicle after seeing it listed for sale.

During a livestream with BenDaDonnn, Drake explained that he bought the ice-blue Bentley with the intention of surprising Quavo.

Drake arranged for Quavo to see the vehicle, but the surprise did not initially land as intended. Quavo reportedly thought Saweetie might be present when he noticed the familiar car. Drake’s account added another chapter to the Bentley’s unusual journey, although the exact circumstances of the vehicle changing hands after the breakup remain unclear.

Now, Quavo’s latest comments have revived questions surrounding the original repossession reports, particularly because his account differs from the denials issued in 2021.

While his remarks suggest that he did reclaim the vehicle, the precise timeline and legal arrangements surrounding the car have not been publicly established.

For Saweetie, however, the conversation appears to be old news.

Her latest response suggests she has little interest in revisiting a relationship that ended years ago, even as Quavo continues discussing one of its most memorable controversies.

Five years after the breakup, the Bentley has somehow remained part of their public story, moving from an extravagant Christmas surprise to a viral breakup debate, a Drake purchase, and now a conversation about divine intervention.
