As Hampshire continued to explore her character’s explosive personality, she had show creator Terry Matalas—whom she previously worked with on Syfy’s 12 Monkeys—to thank.
“He told me when he was writing E.D.I.T.H., he kept getting my voice in his head,” she recalled. “My entry into this world was through Terry. So, it felt like going home. Whereas, if I didn’t have that entry point, it would have been very daunting.”
Don’t worry, though. Hampshire assured fans that her E.D.I.T.H. will definitely bring a much-needed spark to the Mindspace.
“I did want to make sure that the E.D.I.T.H. that I was playing is the same E.D.I.T.H. from Spider-Man,” she emphasized. “I wanted to have that link because she is very different in VisionQuest, but to me it’s really her being set free.”
