Rajinikanth’s action film ‘Jailer 2’ continued its box office run with Rs 7.50 cr in domestic net earnings on Tuesday, October 27. The film registered screenings across multiple languages, taking its cumulative India net collection to Rs 415.65 cr. Its domestic gross earnings have reached Rs 486.50 cr, while the worldwide gross total stands at Rs 744.00 cr.The film collected Rs 2.00 cr from overseas markets on its 13th day. This raised its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 257.50 cr. However, the latest domestic figures indicate a slowdown compared with the previous day’s performance.
‘Jailer 2’ box office collection sees a decline
According to Sacnilk, the film’s Tuesday earnings dropped by 20.6% from Monday’s net collection of Rs 9.45 cr. Its latest daily total also remains below the opening day’s collection of Rs 59.70 cr, which continues to be its highest single-day earning.The movie recorded an estimated 609,401 tickets sold on Tuesday. Its cumulative footfall has reached 27,748,586 since its theatrical release. The film’s reported overall occupancy for the day stood at 18.3%.
Tamil version leads language-wise earnings
The Tamil version contributed Rs 4.15 cr through 4,620 shows. Telugu screenings generated Rs 1.65 cr across 1,773 shows, while the Hindi version earned Rs 1.45 cr from 4,060 shows. Kannada screenings added Rs 25 lakhs through 211 shows.The reported occupancy rates were 21.2% for Tamil, 20.2% for Telugu, 14.0% for Hindi and 22.0% for Kannada. These figures show that the Tamil version generated the largest share of domestic earnings, while Kannada recorded the highest occupancy among the four language versions.‘Jailer 2’ collected Rs 334.35 cr during its first week. Its second-week performance began with Rs 14.50 cr on Friday, October 23. Saturday’s collection increased to Rs 24.15 cr, followed by Rs 25.70 cr on Sunday. The film subsequently earned Rs 9.45 cr on Monday before Tuesday’s figures declined further. The Tamil version recorded 21.73% overall occupancy on Tuesday. Morning shows registered 16.08%, followed by 19.77% in the afternoon, 24.08% in the evening and 27.00% at night.
Language-wise occupancy across show timings
The Hindi version recorded 15.64% overall occupancy, with 9.08% in the morning, 11.17% in the afternoon, 14.58% in the evening and 27.08% at night. The Telugu version registered 14.83% overall occupancy. Its morning, afternoon, evening and night shows recorded 12.00%, 16.08%, 13.58% and 15.42%, respectively.
State-wise gross collection and cast
Tamil Nadu led regional earnings with Rs 3.25 cr, accounting for 37.6% of the reported state-wise total. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 1.50 cr, or 17.3%. Karnataka added Rs 1.40 cr, while Kerala and the rest of India contributed Rs 1.00 cr and Rs 1.50 cr, respectively.
