Jazzma Kendrick is letting supporters know she is okay, two days after she accused her ex Rick Ross of physically assaulting her and posted photos of an injured lip.
In a new Instagram Story shared Monday, the model and real estate agent thanked everyone who contacted her after her weekend posts. “To everyone who reached out, sent love, or just held space for me, thank you,” she wrote. “I felt every message, even the ones I haven’t answered yet.”
She also revealed when the alleged incident happened. “I want you to know I’m okay. This happened about a month ago, so I’ve had time to sit with it, process it, and start healing,” she wrote. “Speaking up wasn’t easy, but your support reminded me I made the right choice.”
Jazzma Kendrick closed the message by speaking to anyone in a similar situation. “If you’re going through something similar, you’re not alone, and you deserve to be safe,” she wrote, before adding, “Now, back to living my life.”
The update follows a series of Instagram Stories she posted Saturday, Sept. 26. It started when a fan commented on one of her selfies, writing, “I’m seeing what Rick is seeing your so gorgeous.” Kendrick shared a screenshot of the comment with her reply: “He saw a punching bag.”
She followed that with a selfie showing her swollen lip, captioned “The day Rick busted my lip and the day I left.” A third post showed a close-up of a deep purple bruise on the inside of her upper lip. In the same set of posts, Kendrick urged women in abusive relationships to walk away, writing that a man who hits you once will do it again and telling them to value their lives and leave.
Rick Ross has not publicly responded to the allegations. He has continued posting on Instagram, where commenters have flooded his page with questions about Kendrick’s claims. No arrest, criminal charge, or police report connected to the allegation has been made public, and the claims have not been tested in any legal setting.
Others have weighed in. 50 Cent, who has feuded with Ross for years, took his usual shots at the rapper before turning serious and condemning the alleged abuse. Tia Kemp, the mother of Ross’s son, went in the other direction, saying on an Instagram livestream that she does not believe Kendrick’s account.
Jazzma Kendrick and Ross first went public in August 2025 at the Miami launch of his RR22 brand. She announced a breakup the following month, but the two reconnected and were seen together as recently as this summer. Her new timeline places the alleged incident around late August, which lines up with when she says she left.
For now, Kendrick says she is focused on moving forward, while the public waits to see whether Ross will address her claims.
