Master P, the No Limit Records founder, is joining forces with Cash Money Records for the first-ever No Limit and Cash Money Joint Tour, bringing two of New Orleans’ most influential hip-hop legacies together on one stage. And yes, there’s a reason fans might want to pull out their best camouflage: The tour is also offering a $1,000 cash prize for the best camo outfit.

The 17-city arena tour is more than a trip down memory lane. It’s a celebration of the music, artists, and culture that helped put Southern hip-hop on the map, with Boosie also joining the lineup.
For Master P, the moment hits differently.
He grew up in the Callio Projects in New Orleans and opened his first record store at 19 before turning No Limit Records into a powerhouse that sold more than 100 million records. From music, he expanded into film, fashion, sports, and other business ventures.
Now, decades later, he’s watching artists from No Limit and Cash Money share the same stage.
“To come from the projects … and 30 years later to have one of the biggest tours in the world, to be on stage, No Limit, Cash Money at one time,” Master P told Baller Alert. “To watch so many other great artists on these stages together.”
And for him, the tour is really about the people who have been there from the beginning.
“This is about the fans,” he said. “To be able to do this 30 years later. I mean, this music is from 30 years ago. That was from 1996 to 2026.”
But there’s another message behind the reunion: unity.
Master P said bringing the two New Orleans powerhouses together gives the next generation an opportunity to see what can happen when people put differences aside.
“People didn’t think that this would happen,” he said. “And showing the next generation how we could come together in peace, in love.”
That message also extends beyond music. Master P has been using his platform to talk about mental health, particularly in communities where people may not always have access to, or seek out, professional support.
“We’re talking about a lot of people that look like us are self-medicating,” he said. “They’re not going to the doctors. They’re not getting the right information. They don’t have counseling.”
Faith remains another major part of his message. Master P said his relationship with God has been a foundation throughout his life and career.
“It’s nothing you could do without God,” he said. “Who else could do what God could do for you? Nobody.”
He encouraged people struggling with their mental health to seek the proper resources and reminded fans that they are not alone. During the conversation, he also pointed people toward Team Hope Foundation for additional resources.
Of course, Master P isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
His entrepreneurial mindset started early. After opening his record store, he said he watched artists become successful and then disappear, which taught him that longevity required more than simply having a hit record.
So, he built an empire around the music, and eventually expanded far beyond it.
That same mindset is now making its way into footwear. Master P is preparing to release a new basketball shoe designed to combine performance with high fashion. He said the goal is to create something people can wear to work out, play basketball, or simply make a statement.
“You want to look good, but you want to get out there, get in shape,” he said. “You want to work out. You want to shoot some hoops, but this can function, and it’s gonna last.”
His advice to the next generation of entrepreneurs and creators? Start, work, and keep going.
“Don’t be afraid to start and don’t quit when you get in it,” he said. “Even though it gets hard, it’s a marathon.”
He also kept it simple: “Faith without work is dead.”
“You got to put the work in. Do not quit. Don’t give up. Keep going. Go chase your dreams. Don’t chase money.”
The Cash Money and No Limit Joint Tour will hit 17 cities before wrapping up November 15 in Cleveland, Ohio. And if you’re heading to the show, you might want to start planning that camo fit now.
After 30 years, Master P said the goal is simple: celebrate the culture, honor the fans, and show the world what New Orleans created.
When asked to describe Southern hip-hop, New Orleans, No Limit and Cash Money’s impact in one phrase, his answer was fitting: “No Limit.”
